For those of you in or around Croy'n there's a beery geeky pub-meet going on at the Dog & Bull which I'll be at. Ostensibly a meeting of Croyden.PM (sic) it will involve some of the usual London.PM suspects plus other randoms.

If you like beer and don't mind the company of geeks, please come along. :)

Details, here and here

I imagine I'll be there from 1800 or so.

Just a quick one to let y'all know that me and one of my bands, Nothing Gained (no website right now due to slight wranglings with expired hosting *ahem*), will be playing a gig at the Bull and Gate, Kentish Town on Tuesday 16th August. I'm told we'll be on stage sometime after 8pm, but the pub part of the venue is open all day, and doors to the venue itself open at 7pm so feel free to come whenever you like (we'll be there soundchecking and the like from 5:30pm or so).

We play our own material, falling broadly into what could be described as modern metal, and this is my first gig as vocalist for the band. T'would be great if you could come down. :) I'll post a flyer here once we have it finalised which should get you a discount on the door. I'll even buy you a brew to offset the ticket cost. :) Would be great to see you there.

So, playing with buddyPing, it seems quite nifty however, really isn't that useful unless you get a decent number of people you know signed up. So far it's just me and [info]billyabbott who have done it which only really has limited scope.

So, if you know me and would like to know when I'm around in town / damned town / South London With Funny Post Codes / Brum (do I have any readers from home? Have they found me yet?) then sign up. It won't hurt, currently the only cost is that by your mobile operator when you sent an SMS, and Justin, the chap who runs it, seems like a good sort and is keen to have the service tested in the wild.

Go on you know you want to...

Hello friends. Long time no post, eh? No real content here, no surprise at that, but a couple of things:

Firstly, gosh darn it those Damned Yanks really can make some fantastic beer. Sainsbury's had some offer on related to the International Beer Competition and I picked up a selection of brews from Rogue. This evening I am sampling Younger's Special Bitter, somewhat hoppier than the traditional English bitter it claims to be but extremely tasty for it. I look forward to the other purchases I have made.

Secondly, [info]easterbunny and I are planning on making complete fools of ourselves and also walk miles and miles and miles for charidee. Namely, the Moonwalk! See my good lady's post for more details and an easy method to giz cash in a good cause. Clicky, clicky.

Oh, and I got my application in for this at lunch too. :)

Thankyou for listening, we shall now resume our normal silence service.

Some of you may already know that my band, Dead Karma, will be playing some cheesy metal covers next Tuesday, the 15th March. Details are:

WHERE: Imperial College Union, South Kensington. [link]
WHEN: ~20:30, Tues 15th March 2005.
WHY: Because there'll be lots of cheap London Pride on the go, and seeing ones friends make an arse of themselves is entertaining.

That is all.

Yes Yes, Y'all, Y'Don't Stop!

*ahem* Hello there.

I just noticed, I have LJ codes coming out of my ears. Would anyone like a free account for comment posting purposes, or indeed to get themselves an LJ and share a little piece of themselves on the web.

Prace your bets!

Edit: Just for the record, this was really intended for people I actually know. I guess most of these comments came from some google searching. I don't mind my friends getting a free ride of my account, but LJ accounts don't cost so much, so ante up and support the service. kthx.
